I am a potter and an educator!
I love teaching workshops and currently enjoy being a faculty member at CPCC in the art department, where I teach ceramics and Art Appreciation.
If you are interested in me teaching a workshop for your organization, please let me know! I love sharing my knowledge and techniques.
Since finishing grad school in 1999, I have split my time between my studio, my teaching and my family.
I believe these three things have made me a better artist and have helped me stay grounded in my creative pursuit. It hasn’t always been easy juggling it all, but it has given me a colorful life, always full of activity and certainly not what I expected when I completed my MFA in clay.
I enjoy talking to other mothers who are crafts people and share my journey of dividing my days between work/teaching and raising a family. I grew up with two educators as parents, so teaching at the college and adult level brings me a lot of joy. I love sharing what I know and mentoring young potters on their journey in clay.
Sharing my work with the public is a pleasure and a gift. Meeting customers and hearing how my work brings them joy is what makes being an artist so special.
